Steam Beef

Ethnicity: Vietnamese

For 4 to 6 servings:

  • 2 cups ground beef

  • 1/2 cup Chinese vermicelli

  • 1/2 cup mushrooms, finely chopped

  • 2 eggs, slightly beaten

  • 4 tablespoons chopped onion

  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper corns

  • 1 teaspoon salt

  • 1/2 teaspoon sugar

Rinse Chinese vermicelli and soak in cold water for 10 minutes. Cut into small pieces. Combine all ingredients and pour into a greased baking dish. Steam 30 to 40 min. 

Serve hot with Triscuit or Toasted Matzos.
