Chicken with Cinnamon

Ethnicity: Vietnamese

Make 6 servings:

  • 8 to 10 pieces of cut-up chicken

  • 1 cup cooking oil

  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon powder

  • 2 teaspoons salt

  • 2 teaspoons sugar

  • 2 garlic cloves, well mashed

Season the meat with garlic, cinnamon, salt and sugar. Soak in cooking oil for 1 hour at room temperature. Drain. Charcoal grill over low fire until golden brown or cook in the oven at 300 for 1 1/2 hours.
Serve with sticky rice (sweet rice)
