Banana Cake

Ethnicity: Vietnamese

  • 5 ripe bananas

  • 8 to 10 slices toasted bread

  • 2 tablespoons sugar

  • 1 cup heavy or light cream

Use the cream to dissolve sugar. Dip the toast in this mixture to moisten it. Mash bananas and the moistened toast. To mix well, pour in greased loaf pan of  8" x 3"

We can also make a "many step banana cake" with banana slices and moistened toast (moistened with cream and sugar). In a greased loaf pan, put layer by layer (toasts and banana slices, the ones after the others) and end with toast on top.

Bake uncovered 1 hour or until golden at 350F. Remove from oven and let stand for 10 minutes before removing from pan
