Sidelights
Huynh commented: "I am the first Vietnamese to write fiction and nonfiction
in English. I hope my books will make people from different countries happy,
regardless of their political adherences, creeds, and ages. To me, literature
must transcend politics, religions, and nationalities. Good literature unites
people while politics, religions, and nationalities tend to divide them."
